CRUZ' CONTROL MIGHT BE SHAKY AFTER NEW INTERNAL AFFAIRS
OFFICER IS ASSIGNED TO HER; AIDAN QUINN GUEST-STARS --
Detective Cruz (Tia Texada) works fast to fix the crime scene after Yokas (Molly
Price) guns down an infamous criminal but she's surprised by a tough new lieutenant
(guest star Aidan Quinn, "Legends of the Fall") who makes it clear that she's now
under his firm thumb. Meanwhile, shaken over her partner Bosco's shooting, Yokas
gets a promotion to detective -- and divorce papers from her husband Fred (Chris
Bauer). In addition, Officers Davis (Coby Bell) and Monroe (Nia Long) develop a
mutual attraction until they clash over the questionable arrest of two teenage girls
who murdered an elderly woman. Anthony Ruivivar and Skipp Sudduth also star.
Charles Haid ("Hill Street Blues") also guest-stars as a ranking Internal Affairs
officer.

Alone Again, Naturally…
That's a lot of blood in that pool. First of all, how'd it get so dark so quick? Cruz
is protecting Yokas? Repent cause the end of the world is nigh.
What else is weird – you'd think after swimming through all that blood, Cruz would
have it on her clothes. Whatever.
"I shot him because he killed my partner."
He's not dead. He's not going to die. Stop saying stuff like that.
LALALALALALALA I'm not LISTENING to you!
Nobody's staying with Bosco? I mean, I know Swersky had to leave to go see
Cruz' bloodless clothes and Yokas' temporary insanity, but Ty and Sully? Guys?
Where's the love?
You have to say, Cruz is quick to think on her feet – unlike some officers
*cough*Monroe*cough*
Cruz: You do what you're thinkin' and he got two outta three. It's not about you or
me, it's about not letting him win.
Okay, Cruz haters, she'd done nothing illegal until she took off the cuffs. She could
have left the cuffs on originally. She could have said "Yokas killed the bastard after
I already had him in custody" right off the bat. Who said Cruz wasn't as bad as she
appeared? Oh yeah, it was me. I think I'll save the big "I told you so" dance til the
end.
Can PapaSwersky have something to say besides "What happened?" and variations
on the theme? Sometimes the writers let him throw an "in the hell" in there too.
Yoshi disappeared! Fan fricken tabulous! I love how PapaSwersky gets the whole
story off the record before letting anything happen officially. Father confessor.
Forgive me, Papa, for I have sinned. I love PapaSwersky.
Yokas: You know what, we're not friends. All right, don't. Don't ask about my
family. Don't make small talk with me. Just don't.
I love the little puppet hand thing Faith did. Cruz always gets the fuzzy end of the
lollipop. She tried to be human to Bosco bringing a covered dish to his mother.
She tried to help Faith too. Still nobody likes her. Except for Sasha. Funny that,
don't you think? I don't.
I hate Fred. Enough said. Oh come on. I didn't mean to rhyme. He's an asshole.
Faith: Can I leave? Cause my cleavage has been hanging out for three whole
episodes and I'm afraid I'm gonna get a chest cold.
Okay, she didn't say that.
I like the first IAB guy. The second one, not so much. I love how PapaSwersky
jumps in to save poor defenseless Cruz from Captain Finney. I know, I'm pushing
it.
I'm wondering about who the second cop shot at the hospital was. Bosco was
one. Maybe the uniform watching over the car bomber?
Cruz: Bet he looks good in a drawer
*snicker* Cruz gets the smart ass crown this episode. The Finney guy is really
creeping me out.
Again LALALALALALA! I'm not listening to you, you bad doctor! He's goin'
back to work. Sure, cover your ass, you quack.
I don't like all the machines and tubes. Anybody remember the song "More than
Words" by Extreme back in the 90s? "I took carea that for you" = "I love you."
Why did they have to cover up his hair? Faith could have run her fingers through it.
Okay, shipper fantasy over – for now.
Dude, I love Lt. Miller. I love the face that he causes Cruz to make. The entire
rest of the episode the only dialog poor Cruz has is "What!?"
Ty and Sasha are making me nauseous. She doesn't want people in her business,
but she doesn't mind getting into other people's.
I love PapaSwersky too. "A manpower thing" yeah right. Faith took care of Sully
when he came back to work after killing Chevchencko. Sully takes care of Faith. I
think Faith looked annoyed that someone sat next to her in roll call. That's Bosco's
seat.
And let me tell you, she needs some taking care of. She's channeling her inner
Bosco. I flashed to "True Love" and Bosco storming his mother's boyfriend's
warehouse looking for him. Did I say I hate Fred? What a jerk. And Sully – Sully
is the man. Faith is being Bosco, Sully is being Faith. I love it.
Faith: I've been at the hospital, Fred.
Fred: Bosco?
Faith: Yeah, he's hurt bad.
Fred: A real shame.
Okay, my favorite part is where Faith blows Fred away on the dock there and then
drives off with Sully. Yeah, Fred, just because Charlie doesn't live with Faith
anymore, he won't worry about her. Great logic, dumbass.
I hate Monroe too. If she hadn't been acting like super cop, that girl wouldn't have
run. If it had been Sully and Ty there, that girl would still be alive. Unfortunately,
they wouldn't have found the dead woman, but still. Okay that's a weak excuse to
hate Sasha. That's okay, I got a lot more excuses.
I wish it was Sully uttering that crap. Of course I've got a lot of wishes that
probably aren't going to come true this season. I did get my divorce papers though
– beggars can't be choosers.
I love Sully's schooling Faith on her first screw up without Swersky having Bosco to
yell at.
I wanted it to be Miller calling about who the plant was, but he showed up too
quick.
Poor Faith spilling out what she'd done wrong that day before Swersky can get a
word in edgewise. She should have been promoted on the little girl alone. All she
did for Cruz was shoot a guy. She's done that a lot for Cruz.
