Sadly, this episode made me want to just watch my tape of last weeks eppy and call it a good job. It's not the quality I'm
used to as a TW lover.
I was so hyped about a new episode. I was looking forward to it. Then it starts. The camera pans down a back, shows a
butt, pans over to - yuck - the evil dimpled one is painting Kim's toenails? EWWW Kim's right about Joey's reaction to
Kim and Jimmy dating.
Kim: "No more living our drama out in the firehouse."
Can I get an amen?
I liked the shopping expedition. I liked the Sully/Ty banter. The history lesson was pretty cool. The price of the jacket?
Holy fricken cow! $275 for a jacket? Granted it's a cool jacket, but damn Ty. Haven't you ever heard of comparison
shopping? eBay? Half.com?
Ty: I'm getting a jacket like you, Sul
Sully: Great we'll be twins.
Classic Sully/Ty *sigh*
Uh oh, get a bucket. Yuck more Jimmy/Kim flirting. Didn't she say no more of this crap at the firehouse? Excuse me
while I lose my lunch. Oh and why is CrazyDoc bossing Kim around? Hello, Kim? You're the supervisor. Act like it.
This episode, with the exception of not one but TWO Jimmy/Kim scenes in the opening minutes, starts strong. That
woman freaking out and then the look Ty gives Sully. You could just hear him say "What do I do, Sul?" They're getting
that "I can talk to her without talkin'" vibe goin'.
Still I'm keeping the barf bag close by....Jimmy....Kim....Didn't I tell Jimmy to go do a Gap ad and Kim to stop using my
name if she's going to be spineless? I think I did.
Cruz and Monroe sittin in an RMP....Monroe's taking the Sergeant's test? Groovy. Get her at the desk so we don't have to
listen to her dissing Bosco. Cruz didn't take the Sergeant's exam? Why doesn't that surprise me? I wonder if she
remembers the faces of the people she stepped on to get her stripes?
Levine. I love Levine. Poor Carlos still needs bunches and bunches of hugs.
Carlos: You know what? Just put it in the report and hurry it up
Ty: Did he get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?
Levine: Yep, but I'm making him a dream catcher.
I love Levine. Oh yeah, I said that.
Monroe and Cruz BFF again. How stupid and forced was the playground scene? I don't like it when Cruz smiles. It's
scary. Who cares why you became a cop? At this point, I'm getting the feeling this ep isn't what it should be.
What were the toys? Looks like a police car, an ambulance, and a male nurse or doctor? When the props are the most
interesting thing in the scene, it's bad.
The premise is sound, the writing falls through the cracks. The Sully/Ty scenes are the only part of the ep that are
working for me. They're the only ones acting in character. Cruz is being all sugary sweet and checking out Monroe, and
we haven't even heard ABOUT Bosco, let alone seen him. There's been no Bosco for too long into the episode. That's just
wrong.
