MORE MONSTERS
9pm 2004-09-17 ALL NEW!
SEASON PREMIERE RESUMES AS COPS FIGHT FOR LIVES AGAINST
RAGING MOBSTER; GENE SIMMONS ('KISS') RETURNS TO GUEST-STAR
-- In the season premiere, the action resumes from last year's finale as an obsessed
mob leader (guest star Gene Simmons from "KISS") continues to unleash his fury over
his son's death by trying to kill scores of cops -- especially Detective Cruz (Tia
Texada). As the NYPD reels from his attacks, four masked gunmen scythe through
the hospital jammed with the wounded. The gun battle rages over multiple floors and
Bosco (Jason Wiles) is critically wounded -- causing Cruz to wonder if a fellow cop is
in league with the mobsters. Meanwhile, Kim (Kim Raver) is repulsed by the carnage
despite some exciting news. Coby Bell, Eddie Cibrian, Nia Long, Molly Price,
Anthony Ruivivar and Skipp Sudduth also star. TV-14
It says Eddie Cibrian, but according to the Spoiler Fairy, Eddie had prior
commitments.

More Monsters
First of all what an original title.
Secondly HOLY COW! I loved how they worked the scenes from "Monsters" into
the beginning of the episode. I wished they'd had the "Chippin' Away" in there, but
hey following Kim had its payoffs.
Doctor: We'll get x-rays, but you'll probably just need some stitches.
Sully: Is that all?
Ty: Buck up, tough guy
*snicker* This whole episode – Ty was on his smart ass game. I love how the
writers wove all the humor we're used to from the first two seasons into this heavy,
serious episode.
You would think with Jelly's love of sugar, he would like cocoa too.
Anybody notice Faith's plain gold band at the funeral? In the waiting room at first, it
looks like she's not even wearing a ring. She hits the ground and she's sportin' a rock
the size of my finger. She wasn't wearing a watch or a bracelet either. You know,
costuming should call me before they shoot episodes months apart. They could pay
me in Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. Really.
At least Faith's still wearing the Fredrick's of the Afterworld funeral attire. Could she
show more cleavage? I doubt it without moving the show to Cinemax.
I love it when the shooters prance by.
Hey! Those aren't Jason Wiles' fingers. Anyway, if I were the bad guy, I wouldn't
have shot at waist level the whole time. You'd think he would realize that anyone in
that room would have fallen to the floor in the first few seconds. If he were a smart
bad guy, he would have started shooting lower once someone started shooting back.
But that's just me thinking about my ex-husband.
FINALLY!!! We finally get to see an emotional break down of one member of
55David leaning over the bloodied form of the other! We waited a whole year, kids,
and it's finally here! Thankfully, I spoke to the spoiler fairy about this or I would
currently be in the fetal position in the corner right about now. I did the fetal position
thing in July, so I've had time to process. Anyway, you had to know Bosco was going
to get it. He was the only person in that room that hadn't been shot and hospitalized
for it during the whole five year run.
Okay, argue with me. Bosco was shot in "Anywhere But Here" and "Sex, Lies, and
Videotape" but those were in the vest and he went home the same day. Goin' home
the same day isn't in the cards this time.
I love how concerned Cruz is. I love that she wanted to stay too, but Faith pushed
her away. Anyway, Cruz is all about revenge first, grieving later. I especially loved
hearing Bosco still breathing on his own. I know I said I was okay, but that corner is
looking pretty tasty right now.
A lot of you know that I don't get to watch the show in the first hour that it's aired. I
live in the twilight zone between Eastern and Central time more commonly known as
Indiana. So I'm sitting in the chat room (okay, I'm cyber sitting in the chat room) and
someone said "Faith knew exactly where to go for his back up." Now Faith keeps her
back up gun in a holster inside her waistband in the back of her pants. My first
thought that it being a funeral and all, Bosco might have done the same thing. I would
like to apologize for the question asked in the chat room not coming out as innocently
as I meant for it to. You all have dirty minds. I'm not telling you what I said, so don't
ask. You had to be there.
Cruz: Careful
Ty: That's a good idea
*Snickers again* I love me some Ty.
Poor Kim – the hero. Okay, she can use my name just this once.
"I'm Cruz"
OH SNAP! I would like to remind everyone that I've liked Cruz since "Judgement
Day Part I." I don't mean to say I told you so, but she's the coolest or as I'm going to
quote a reluctant MonaCK (against her will I'm betting) "she's the shiznit this episode."
Bye-bye mister car bomber guy. Jelly's got 'tude. I like 'tude.
Okay, show of hands….how many screamed "he's wearing a vest, Sul, go for the
head!" Geez! We haven't seen Sully shake that much since "Last Call" Poor baby.
That 16 shot 9MM is lookin' pretty good now isn't? Holy cow. Somebody punch me
in the chest so my heart will start beating again.
Oh sure, Kim saves two people so Grace has to save four. Whatever.
There's the Shiznit again. "You lookin' for me?" *bites tongue*
Is there any symbolism in Carlos throwing a NYPD mug at the bad guy? I love me
some Carlos. Did the guy have to throw him through the window? I mean, damn!
Looks like Ty didn't get the memo on the bulletproof vests the bad guys are wearing.
I'm sorry, folks, but this one scene I have a big bunch of trouble watching. My poor
little Ty – "little" like the guy isn't 6'-4 and a whole lotta man – still, poor baby.
Sasha saves my poor Ty, but still shows her inability to think on her feet. Yeah, pick
up a gun that doesn't work. I realize she wasn't there for the not working part, but still
doesn't she have a back up gun of her own or did she let Doc keep it? The only part
of the program where I was rooting FOR the bad guys.
Okay, a concern: Ty's prints are all over that knife. I know that doesn't matter now,
but keep watching.
Cruz: You okay, Jelly?
Jelly: Besides the load in my drawers I'll make it.
*snickers more and more* Poor Jelly.
Cruz: Is he okay?
Um, okay, Faith's frantically giving Bosco CPR. No, dumbass, he's not okay. Still
she's the shiznit. Everybody has their moments.
The sight of my poor Bosco all bloody…. Thank God for commercials. I now have
about four and a half minutes for the fetal position.
Okay, back.
Question: If Bosco was shot four times and has exit wounds, how come Faith didn't
have wounds too?
All right, now I'm just being picky.
Proctor should know from experience to pay absolute and complete attention to
anyone Faith has in the ER. I love Mary. I also love how Faith explained that she
wasn't going to shoot Mary, but that she was keeping Bosco's gun for him for later.
Cruz consoling Faith? Cruz sticking to Faith like glue while Bosco is being treated?
I'm without words. I always in the past preface things like what I'm about to say with
"I know I'm going to get hate mail, but", but I don't think I have to this time.
Faith and Cruz are a lot alike. They do a lot of things the same way. They both love
Bosco and you can't tell me they don't. I don't think they're going to be friendly, but I
don't think their going to be shooting at each other again any time soon.
I love Yvonne Jung (Holly). She's going to get more screen time this year and I
couldn't be happier. I don't "know" that she will, but I can't see how we won't be
seeing more Holly without Kim around.
Carlos is so the man! Yeah, I'm bleeding, but it's just blood. No problem *snicker*
Jelly is such an ass. I agree with Faith, he needs to get over himself.
Hey! That's Reggie Miller on that locker! Go Pacers!
Cruz: Big boy
Ty: Not too big
Cruz: Dead?
Ty: God, I hope so
*All out laughing* I LUV Ty. Poor little guy.
See what I mean about the knife? Not yet? Cruz has it. You know that can't be
good.
Don't call the chaplain for my baby. He's a fighter. If he didn't have that thing in his
mouth, I'm sure he'd have said "Bite me" when you said that to the nurse. *resists urge
to run to the corner for more fetal time*
LAX looks way lame. Who names a character Harley Random? Geez.
That poor doctor. She lives her life surrounded by hard-headed macho cops. Poor
my ass.
PAPASWERSKY!! I missed my Papa Swersky.
Shut up Grace. Carlos got thrown through that window to alert Ty where the bad guy
was before he could get his gun working again. Yeah, that's the ticket!
