Another red letter third season episode. It's nice to see some happiness on this show. Not to mention seein' some
freaky-deaky.
Quick note to Ty: You wouldn't mind Sully knowing about Alex because your partner's not a big jerk (and I mean that with
all my Carlos love).
Faith not wanting a note makes me believe that Swersky doesn't know either. Some were very upset about Faith's abortion
in season two. If she hadn't had it, she wouldn't have been able to get treatment for her cancer as quickly as she did and
her prognosis wouldn't have been as good. Just a thought.
Doc has camera guys following him around? This could be interesting. Carlos is such a ham. So cute.
Has anyone ever noticed that almost every scene featured in the opening credits involves Bosco in some way? It's either
him, someone going to see him/save him, or someone who just talked to/saved him.
Ty's hilarious. "As tempting as seeing a Reming-jmnklmnop whatever sound? No, I'm good."
That whole locker room scene fills me with love. Faith's on her game with the wisecracks. Bosco's smiling. Sully's being
loveable and the aforementioned Ty being witty - it's almost more classic TW than I can take. Nah I could take more
classic TW love.
*snicker* Carlos, Alex, models and the camera crew. *snickers more*
Ty, Ty, Ty - You can't lie to the Sulster. Happiness is just a place saver between tragedies? Not a good sign.
Bosco says insensitive stuff to hide his true feelings. You can't tell me that look in his eyes was worry about who would
have to clean up the car if Faith tossed her cookies.
Faith: And they say you aren't compassionate
Bosco: Who does?
He almost sounds hurt doesn't he? I guess Faith took the pain pills thus her razor sharp wit in the locker room.
Doc's getting jealous of the cameras following Carlos instead of him.
Poor Bosco. He picks out all that medicine for Faith, gets her a water and she STILL expects him to pay? There's
compassion and then there's takin' advantage. </ sarcasm>
Camera guys - do not mess with Mary. I love Mary.
Bosco's like a kid in a toy store. All those guns - I fully expected him to say "can I have one Faith? Please? I promise I'll
take care of it. I'll even clean my room and everything." So precious. (Guns and precious in the same paragraph? I've
come a long way baby)
Famous last words, Ty "We're sittin' out here runnin' plates. What goods that gonna do?"
So Gussler has to go potty (honestly it's almost as bad at a little league game) and leaves Doc alone in a treatment room
with a guy who just shot and tried to drown every member of his family. I'm still curious if he shot himself or if his wife
fought him for the gun. Man! Doc's like Superman! He goes through a glass window and doesn't get a scratch on him.
His clothes aren't even torn at all! JUST like Superman!
And Sully's like Spiderman! He can sense the bad guy getting close. So cool. Does that make Kim, Alex, and Faith the
Powerpuff Girls? Faith gets to be Buttercup cause she kicks ass.
Anybody but me notice that car is still moving in a way it shouldn't be at the end of the crash shot? I love this show so
much, I'm willing to suspend belief. However, one of the reasons I love it so much is how realistic it is most of the time.
Still I could have done without the puking.
What happened to the back seat window of 55David?
I'm not sure if Doc likes the attention of the camera crew of if he doesn't like the camera crew. He's pretty hot and cold on
the whole thing.
Now this next act - if you've read anything I've written, met me, talked to me - you know how I feel about my precious
Bosco. Him chasing that guy alone into that building, Faith unable to keep up - what a moron. (again with all my Bosco
love).
Him screaming "Faith" over and over again and that gun firing kills me every time. I know what's going to happen, but I still
flinch and cry when that guy gets his gun. I can imagine Faith's terror when the screaming and the firing stopped.
The first time I saw him laying there on the floor - fresh off the loss of Bobby in season two - I was terrified too. I'd never
heard of fandom before. I didn't even know that Jason Wiles played Bosco. I thought he was a goner. I was pacing my
living room waiting for the stupid commercials to be over - much like now. I don't need a new Ford Truck! Give me my
Bosco!
This kills me that Faith's able to keep it together. She sees the blood on the walls first then when she looks down the hall
and sees him lying there - Molly should have been nominated for an Emmy for this too.
That's not guilt for not being there on her face. Wink wink nod nod say no more.
When Hobart shot the guy in the back, I thought for a second he shot at Faith. She dropped so fast.
I love it when he says "Bite me" Soo romantic. My poor baby though is all banged up. He needs some TLC.
I think it hurts him more that she's not standing next to him while he's getting treatment than the actual injuries.
Bosco: Where were you? I thought you were behind me. I kept lookin'.
Faith: Bos, I'm sorry.
Bosco: I kept lookin'. I was callin' for you.
Doesn't he look like a little boy who just found out that Superman is just an actor in blue tights?
Another locker room scene. I love locker room scenes, but this one - O M fricken G. You can cut the shippiness with a
spoon. When she tells him she has cancer, he looked worse than when the guy was crushing him with the door.
Everybody thinks he's mad at her in this scene. I think he's scared out of his head. He's also hurt that she wouldn't let him
help her get through it. Fred should be grateful Faith didn't tell Bosco about the surgery or the radiation treatments or the
doctor's visits. He would have practically moved in with them to make sure she was okay.
He's almost crying when she's talking about getting sick from the pain pills. She mentions the bullet missing the vest, then he
might have been mad. I could go line by line on this scene. I want to. Like I said chocolate covered shippy goodness.
He's mad that she didn't tell him, but you can tell he understands about not wanting to be treated differently. Jason Wiles is
amazing. You can almost see his heart twisting in his chest when he asks her if she's dying. When she says she's not, he so
relieved he has to get out of there or hug her. Poor baby could have used a hug right about then.
All that gravitas then a smash cut to what I first knew of as "Carlos' Song" aka "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)" by Rupert
Holmes. See those season three writers knew how good laughter through tears felt. Carlos and his bird dancing is one for
the classic reel.
Carlos finding out Ty's not gay is another one of those Mastercard moments. Christopher is so due for some noogies.
To Recap
Lots of Beatles references in this one - Alex saying "Let It Be"
If Fred was any kind of husband, he would have found a lump before a mammogram
Faith needs to have her roots done
She also needs to ditch that hat
Doc is the best of the best
Sully's such a charmer
"The Cuddly Beatle"
No x-ray eyes? I thought Doc was Superman
I think Bosco is VERY compassionate. Poor baby.
It's Major Dad!
Sully is good, Sully is wise
Gussler doin' the peepee dance is priceless
Hot Dog? The "Hot" part I definitely agree with
Once upon a time, I watched TV without my computer on! Most of the time I didn't even know what was going to
happen! I know - scary
The reason I don't think Bosco got shot in the final scene of "Monsters" - he only gets shot with his own gun
"Come with me and escape" - really, I'm serious. I love Carlos
