Let me start by saying how festive! The opening scenes were so Christmasy. I can't remember a more Christmasy
Third Watch episode. I hope that a Christmas episode means the Warner Bros and NBC are more committed to TW in
the future.
Next?I'm not into preschool toys any more. Is Oliver the Onion a real toy? I doubt it, but it's something like what I've
been forced to search for for Christmas's past.
Bah, Humbug Sully ? my hero. Sully and Audrey are a match made in heaven. I'm seeing Sully/Audrey
foreshadowing. Wouldn't it be blissful if he adopted her? Sully could have a family for when he "retires" in the
summer. Not that I want him to retire.
Bosco is so back to his old loveable self.
Smirk ? Wisecrack ? Smirk - Smirk
He's more partner than Monroe deserves. When she said she loved him, I said who doesn't what the hell took you so
long? I can't BELIEVE she didn't even crack a smile at the hat. You know that's why the character Bosco put it on.
Faith would have laughed her ass off (like I did). Jason put it on for Georgia. You know he did. Bosco put it on to
try to see if he could have a partner connection with any one besides Faith. I know I'm reading a lot into this, but I
think he thinks that Faith isn't going to be his partner again and he's afraid of being alone. He doesn't WANT a
different partner, but if Bosco's anything, he's a realist. Realistically, he has to think ahead to the time when he has to
live with the possibility of Faith never being with him again.
I love Mary's rant. "Would it be too much to ask that I actually see someone open my secret Santa gift for once?"
Poor Mary. I truly feel her pain.
Poor Carlos is so bitter. I'm overwhelmed by the desire to give him a big ol' hug again this week. Doc is not helping
at all. He's being surly instead of crazy this time out.
Kim is spineless - cave to Doc bossing her around, cave to the evil dimpled one. I hearby revoke her use of my name.
The writers need to name her something else. I did love the "Nature Girl" comment. Levine rocks in her understated
looneyness. She was so flirting with Carlos's brother.
Lynne needs to call NBC and pick up her check. The writers obviously read her Christmas fic about the "Charlie
Brown" Christmas tree Ty picked out and snagged it. Priceless. You're the best, Lynne.
Back to Bosco and the unworthy partner. Bosco went out of his way to help her find that stupid onion. HE saw the
sign. HE caught the bad Santa. HE told the store owner about the bad guy. She consistently and constantly disses
him. What happened to the "Bosco, I think I love you?"
Why did Morales send Doc that picture? I don't send my ex-boyfriends pictures of my kids. That's just cruel. She
knew Doc wanted kids. I'm refraining from the "b" word again. Way to kick somebody while their down, Doctor.
Did they teach you that in medical school?
I have new names for Sully. Officer Obvious? Sully Exposition? Of course she's gone, Sul. Why else would there
be a rope made out of sheets and blankets hanging out an open window in New York City in December. Can we say
Cold? I knew we could. What struck me as odd was why wasn't there a fire escape for her to climb down? State
run facility not up to fire code. Why am I not surprised about that?
Back to my baby again. Back in the RMP, I can tell. She is so on his lonely mind. He says her name three times in
less than two minutes and refers to her more than that. He's smiling and happy remembering the good times looking
for Elmo. Monroe says something about Christmas being about love and the laughter leaves. Telling her about what
Christmas was going to be like for him this year and what it had been in the past hurt him. Any one could see that on
his face. Poor baby. Maybe Monroe saw it too. Maybe that's why she invited him over. He misses Faith. That last
smile was just for show. It wasn't real like the earlier ones. Poor Poor Baby.
Doc, Doc, Doc! "Kiss our ass!" Holy cow! We did get a little peek at the old Carlos. "Really likin' the new you. Hey
you don't really have to say WE said that." LOL!
A minute for Christmas decorations. Loved the firehouse snowman. Loved Swersky and his tree at the station. Now
for the ones we didn't see. If that building Audrey was in caught fire because of the Christmas decorations as Sully
said when he brought her out, how come the decorations weren't destroyed in said fire? Continuity? Anyone?
Anyone? Beuller? I'm used to gaps of continuity between seasons, but in the same episode??
I don't care though. I still feel all warm, happy and fuzzy. What a wonderful episode.
